Here's a word you don't often see: salesblazer.
Salesblazer? Are these the people that are wearing those green hoodies at Salesforce events? Who are they?
"Salesblazers are sellers, sales leaders, and sales operations professionals looking to achieve sales excellence and grow their careers. They close deals, make customers successful, and help their companies grow," said GrubHub Account Executive John Dao.
There is now a 500+ strong community of sales professionals that up-skill on selling, networking with other sales professionals, and finding ways to grow their careers (via Trailhead of course). Don't be surprised if small Salesblazer events taking place at World Tours this year.
Here's a big difference between a Trailblazer and a Salesblazer
Despite being so closely related, a sales professional and Salesforce professional can live in completely separate worlds. Salesforce professionals focus on understanding the Sales processes to drive automation that helps sales professionals sell more effectively. There's no scenario where someone expects a Salesforce professional to sell a company's products.
Sales professionals, the people who are using Salesforce, focus on anything related to selling…and that's pretty much it. They're not considering how to implement the software and automation that will help them meet their unrealistic quotas.
But sales professionals are still looking for places to help them in their day-to-day. How does someone in Sales Ops train and enable their sales team? How should a BDR best prospect their accounts? How does a Sales leader build a repeatable sales process? What metrics should the President of Sales track?
Before, this information was siloed behind company walls. Or, the information just isn't working for them and they are looking outside the company for guidance. Salesforce has recognized that and decided to build more muscle around one the Salesforce professional's biggest stakeholder.
Where do Salesblazers meet? John Dao: "We meet online in the Salesblazer Community Group, which brings together the power of learning, content, and connection. This is where you can help others – the same way someone once helped me."
