Live your life (outside Salesforce)

Sometimes, we become so consumed by our work that we forget to savor the rewards it brings.

We strive to deliver that Salesforce feature, initiate new projects, and navigate challenging stakeholders. We convince ourselves that it's all crucial, or at least that's what we tell ourselves.

Work becomes an incessant cycle. But is work the true purpose of life? Not to me, at least.

Inspired by Ramit Sethi's concept of "money dials," I took the time to reflect on what truly matters in my life. I discovered that I value:

  • Relationships
  • Travel
  • Convenience

Why do I bring this up?

I’ll be traveling to NYC today. It will be the start of an 11 day journey around the East Coast, and I’ll finish up in Las Vegas.

And here’s the best part: it’s all for leisure.

None of this would have been possible without entering and growing within the Salesforce ecosystem. Do great work, expand your network, and keep learning. Financial success will naturally follow.

However, it's crucial to remember that being a Salesforce professional should not define your entire identity. Instead, it should be seen as an integral part of the ecosystem—a role you perform while pursuing a fulfilling life outside of work.
